JULIA CHRISTIAN has been painting and drawing since the age of 6. Winning local painting competitions in Albany, GA as a teenager, she went on to receive a B.F.A. in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia.
Julia moved to New York City to work in the art field, working for Karl Mann and Assoc. and John Rosselli Antiques and Decoration. Julia’s work has been featured in many national publications including Architectural Digest, Veranda, House Beautiful, and Southern Accents. In, 1982, Julia returned to Savannah, Georgia to raise three sons Robert, James, and Henry with her artist husband, Bob, and to open Bob Christian Decorative Art, Inc. Julia continues to paint focusing on her favorite themes, the figure and the still life, incorporating vibrant color with a loose energetic style.
